New to the Crossing?
Visiting a church for the first time can at times feel intimidating – new people, new environment, new things. We’d like to help alleviate any of the concerns that you may have by accurately painting a picture of the type of church we are and what you can expect when you come to visit.
If you have children, you'll be happy to find that the Crossing is a kid-friendly environment with opportunities for all children - infants through teenagers! As a parent, you can be assured, that your children will be in a safe environment where they will be nurtured in the teaching of God's Word and experience of God's love and presence.
Our worship style can be described as contemporary and alive! We seek to worship the Lord in a language and style that is culturally relevant, full of passion and gives each worshiper freedom to express their love for God . As much as the style of music and personal expressions of worship are important, our ultimate goal is to glorify God and seek His presence.
Our preaching is at times based on a specific topic and at other times based on a specific text from the Bible. We seek to provide messages that are biblically accurate and relevant to our daily lives. Our lead Pastor, Dr. Scott McDermott, is a scholarly, knowledgeable speaker, yet dynamic and inspiring!
Prayer is an important part of our worship experience as well. At the end of each service, those in attendance are welcomed to receive prayer from our trained prayer team who value confidentiality and privacy. We have seen God do amazing things in answer to our prayers!
The Crossing is a place where you can experience God’s love firsthand in worship, make new friendships and serve God’s greater purposes for your life.
